The siFramo 80 Octagonal Coupling is an internal splice connecting element for siFramo 80 Beam Sections, particularly suitable for vertical extension. Should the Octagonal Coupling be used for horizontal application, the bending moment needs to be considered. This particular connection element allows the siFramo 80 Beam Section to rotate by 45?. Installation requires 2 x 4 Self Forming Screws. For optimal bending moment, distance between screws should be as far from each other as possible. Note: Self Forming Screws should be fastened on two sides with a minimum distance of 50 mm and should be fastened symmetrically. To optimize the bending moment, the Self Forming Screws should be installed to maintain the pipe weight of the effective flow (i.e. screws should be located on top and bottom for horizontal cross bars, not sideways).
