Flat Plate Fittings are primarily used to join sections of Unistrut Channel together
Within the Unistrut Metal Framing System there are many different categories of parts, each with their own function, this week we’ll discuss Unistrut Flat Plate Fittings.
You may have heard Unistrut flat plate fittings referred to as 'Splice Plates'. That is because their primary use is to join – or splice – channel sections together.
Flat plate fittings are sheared from 1/4" thick plate steel and punched with 9/16" holes. Splice plates are ideally joined to sections of strut using 1/2" hex head cap screws and 1/2" spring nuts (or other variety of Unistrut channel nut), for a unique, weldless connection.
As with all Unistrut fittings, flat plate fittings

Unistrut is Available in Special Metals: Stainless Steel and Aluminum!
Unistrut channel is offered in a variety of finishes, with a variety of hole styles and in a variety of lengths and gauges, but did you know that we also carry special metals? Aside from the standard Unistrut, you can also get channels that are stainless steel and aluminum. Each of these special metals has unique applications so let's break it down.
Why Choose Stainless Steel?
Our stainless steel channels are offered for the following series: P1000, P1000T, P1001, P1001T as well as the same variations for the P3300, P4100 and P5000 series. It's also offered in two different compositions: 304 and 316 stainless. 316 stainless is a more pure version and does not attract magnetization while 304 stainless will retain a weak magnetic attraction.

Concrete Inserts Create a Permanent Steel Framework of Support
Concrete Inserts are used in concrete poured walls, floors, ceilings, foundations and pre-cast culverts. Unistrut concrete inserts offer a fully-engineered solution, integrating steel channel and parts, to create a cast-in-place concrete framework. This framework provides superior strength and durability to your system.
Installation
Unistrut Concrete Inserts are mounted into place prior to pouring concrete. The steel framework is cemented into place, as the concrete hardens, thus providing a permanent solution.
Inserts are firmly attached to the concrete side of the form prior to pouring. When the forms are removed, the insert is ready for use. Brackets and other components are now ready to connect to the embedded steel frameworks to create light structural support.

As part of an ongoing effort to optimize product offerings and streamline the Unistrut Metal Framing product line, Unistrut has chosen to discontinue a number of products that are no longer in demand for most typical applications. This allows the company to maintain a sharp focus on production of the products that customers truly need, as well as shift some of their attention to the innovation of new products.
Unistrut part number "AEROSPRAY GR" is green touch-up paint used on cosmetic scratches to Perma-Green finish parts and channel. Unfortunately, due to difficulties in sourcing and transporting the aerosol spray-paint, as well as concerns about the limited shelf-life of the product, it became necessary to discontinue selling it. The good news is that a suitable replacement can be obtained from most local hardware stores.

Cush a Clamp Surpasses the Performance of Traditional Pipe Clamps
Cush a Clamp, as the name implies, is a cushioned pipe clamp. The cushion insert, which traditional pipe clamps lack, dampens shock and vibration, as well as prevents galvanic corrosion. The insert is made out of thermoplastic elastomer, which helps to extend the life of your pipe support system. The highly durable

Food Grade Strut for Prevention of Food Contamination
Food Grade Strut was developed after food processing plants and commercial kitchens demanded a better, more sanitary, easier to clean solution to mount pipe and conduit on. Traditional methods for mounting included inferior materials and/or design, which led to increased instances of food contamination, fines and even shut downs, after failed inspections.
There are an infinite number of ways to mount pipes to walls or suspend them from ceilings, but to do it the right way requires a product that has been engineered specifically for the food service industry and clean room applications: Food Grade Strut.
Food Grade Strut is manufactured from

Lindapter Weldless Steel Connections
Lindapter has been a leading innovator of steel connections since their inception, in 1934, when engineer Henry Lindsay invented the revolutionary 'Lindsay Bolt Adapter'. The combination of the two words ‘Lindsay’ and ‘Adapter’ are what gave rise to the company's name 'Lindapter'.
Lindapter's steel-to-steel solutions eliminate the the need to drill or weld steel, allowing for rapid installation and significantly reduced costs. Because there is no welding involved, the steel connections can be adjusted on-site. They also preserve the integrity of the steel and its coating, and steel connections are compatible with virtually any size or shape of steel section.
The uniqueness of Lindapter's solutions, which require no welding
